lol..yea i know to …
lol..yea i know to NEVER let go……..but u kno….we all make mistakes as rookies. but ive heard that when u start the bike for like the first 2 gears u should let the clutch out slowly until the friction zone and then gently gas…but i heard that once ur up to like 60mph+ its okay to just let go of the clutch once u shift gears

You will probably …
You will probably stall the engine (depends on your speed) b/c of the sharp change in power or your bike will jerk suddenly. Never “let go” of the clutch, ease off of it. I’ve been riding for about a few weeks now & it is definitely a process to learn, but it gets easier.

the choke puts a …
the choke puts a little extra gas into the spark plug, causing it to light easier, making the engine run. But if you choke it to much, your spark plug will get to wet to start(commonly known as “flooding it”) if you do this let ur bike sit for a while or take out the spark plug and dry it off and put it back in.

the choke puts …
the choke puts extra gas in the engine to get it started. if u have a fuel injected bike you dont have a choke.

get goin as fast as …
get goin as fast as u want, pull in the clutch, and give it gas with the clutch in and it will rev and ur still moving

istayfly313 said in July 1st, 2009 at 3:38 pm

To rev, they are …
To rev, they are engaging the clutch then twisting their throttle. When pulled, it doesnt allow the rear wheel to receive power so if you twist throttle at the same time the back tire wont move any faster. The engine is only reving faster.

The choke changes …
The choke changes the mix of fuel and air entering the motorcycle’s engine by reducing airflow. The richer fuel mixture burns more easily in a cold engine, but at the same time can strip away lubricating oil. As a result, you should leave the choke on for the minimum amount of time possible until your bike is warmed up.

Jumps? Are you …
Jumps? Are you letting go of the clutch too fast? Its not about when you shift but how smoothly you work the clutch. On mine i usualy shift between 3-4k, if im even paying attention to my gauge. Now i just go by the sound of the motor.

minimum height …
minimum height should be 5′4-5′5. if you are shorter than that you can lower the bike…….but you can only be like 4 inches smaller. so if youre like 5 foot tall……it might be kinda hard
