I ride an XR 1200 …
I ride an XR 1200 since July 2008, and I like it. Because of the salt on the winter roads it has its wintersleep untill end March, but then… Thundering away ( not really, it is rather silent and that’s the way to go.

A road-going …
A road-going dinosaur built for rich old men to profile on and a real racebike have nothing in common apart from some fancy bits of trim that cost plenty. Big bucks profiling and riding skills have nothing in common. Old ladies can ride those things.

No AMA 25 Mile …
No AMA 25 Mile sanctioned races in California? I know the San Jose Mile track at the Santa Clara Fairgrounds is history, Sacramento Fairgrounds track is still there. Del Mar in Southern, CA. still there. So why can’t Harley or the AMA sanction, sponsor or schedule an event? Money? Undisirable bikers in CA? Attendance has always been standing room only. A few scuffles now and then, however have you ever been to a Raiders game? So what is the reason? Thanks for any rationale answers.

Awesome video and awesome bike. I’d like to do an 883 conversion to dirt track bike some day, but I’d need to have some cash in order to do that LOL…

This is a dummy-up …
This is a dummy-up for them lardy-assed old guys who wanna profile down mainstreet. Nothin’ to do with real racebikes at all. They need that extra 450ccs to haul their lardy es, and anyway the motors are soft-tuned.

lol..back to the drawing board fella’s…
this is no way the same sportster that we are used to, it might go fast in a straight line, but it is riding low in all corners, should have used the buell frame geometry and longer suspension for this one..it looks a bit gay too, and before any one starts on me, lve ridden and owned sportsters for eight years…in my opinion, the 1200 “nightster” should have been this bike :)

They should bring …
They should bring this bike to America, this is a motorcycle HD can be proud of. Much more modern and interesting than the grandpa bikes they currently make. No offence to those who own HD’s, ride what you love, if you’re on two wheels your doing something right.

Don’t let them …
Don’t let them razzle you. In England, well they don’t anything any more. In Japan, you buy one and you’ve bough5t6 them all…there arn’t any differences. The only standouts are us with Harley, the folks at BMW and KTM. Let the rest bark because they can’t bite…

Might seem dull to you, but it’s a great training ground for American dirt trackers like Kenny Roberts who kicked the collective of European road racing, winning the 500 GP title on his FIRST attempt.

Could this be any duller? Oval, no aero dynamics, no brakes, no real moves, no positioning…. yawn yawn yawn. Only in America would this be considered remotely interesting. I laughed my off when the guy said ‘an engine that produces tremendous horse power’. Dear me. Its a Harley-Moto for fat middle-aged stock brokers ffs.
