I have this older leather Harley Davidson motorcycle jacket, its really nice I wear it everywhere. I just wanna know,Does that look cool or dumb. I usually wear it with tight jeans and combat boots or cowboy boots. Im not fat either if that makes a difference.

actually, vintage style moto jackets made a comeback this winter, but in a grungy sort of way. The vintage store that I go to a lot completely sold out of moto jackets. For the grunge scene this winter, the biggest looks were moto jackets, over sized ratty flannels, lacy tights, anything that is coated or metalic in a black or gun metal shine, yeah. I think that if you wear your moto jacket well, which it sounds like you do, then you can pull it off.

A leather jacket makes fine winter wear. A removable liner makes it warmer, but you can always layer under it. The best feature is the way leather blocks the wind.

Would you rather wear a mesh jacket of leather jacket while riding a motorcycle and why?

I’m going to have to be honest here. Both jacket styles have their merrits. Personally, I like the mesh jacket, but that’s only because I know what kind of riding I’m going to do. I also live in a rather warm area- where the sun is just cooking. I like to be safe, but I also want to stay comfortable, especially when the bike starts to heat up when you are riding in the city.
Mesh jackets are also pretty safe and more reasonable priced. I recommend it.

Leather jackets are obviously the cream of the crop, but are you just paying to have the best or are you paying to suit your needs? Leather jackets are safer, but they are also very hot and heavy. Make an educated decision. That’s all I can say. You are going to have an intimate relationship with your jacket, so make this decision wisely. What are your needs?

You want to use a leather conditioner that will soften the jacket over time. Also as you where the jacket it will begin to soften also. Below is a link to a good leather conditioner that should do the trick.

I wear my summer gloves when I ride my motorbike, but I would like to give then a clean now and then, you know, sweat, road dust, that sort of thing but I don’t want to risk sticking them in the washing machine unless it’s safe. Also, does anyone know any good roads around Southampton to have a good long ride on my CBR600?

deff not a washing machine job…me personally i wouldnt even hand wash them…buy sone car seat foam cleaner and use that…let them dry natrally and not on the radiators…last thing is they need to be kept supple..so you need enough ”dubbin” on then [or somthing similar] to soffen but not to much that they will slip off the bar grips…
