Ya sure, the best ones have a removable liner on the inside. Only drawback to using them as a regular jacket is they have armor padding in the elbows, shoulders and back. It would not be to comfortable sitting in a chair.

It really depends on how they fit. This jacket, you’ll notice the sleeves are longer than the body, and it might be cut to favor a position of sitting, leaning forward, with your arms out in front of you. Whether it’s as comfortable standing, walking, sitting, etc. depends on the jacket, your own shape, etc. Plus though this jacket doesn’t look like it has armor in it, some have padding over shoulders, elbows, etc. The "Joe Rocket" line is stuff made specifically for motorcycles, so it will have ‘motorcycle styling’ which might be good or bad depending on how you want to look.

Plus how warm it is depends on what you mean by "Winter". 8^) I live in California so it would be ideal here, but where I grew up, in Michigan, I’d want something warmer than this in the Winter.

A leather jacket makes fine winter wear. A removable liner makes it warmer, but you can always layer under it. The best feature is the way leather blocks the wind.

It’s the ONLY jacket I wear.
